Resale Policy

This Resale Policy details the rules sellers must follow when listing tickets on Marquee Pass. For the visual breakdown of the same content, see our Trust & Safety page. This page is the formal version for compliance and reference.
1. Who can sell.
Anyone with a verified account can sell up to a transaction threshold ($500 in sales or 5 completed sales). Above that threshold, sellers must complete identity verification.
2. State-specific price caps.
Some states cap resale prices at face value plus a small markup. Marquee Pass enforces state caps at the price-entry step. The following states have caps as of our last review: Massachusetts ($2 over face), Connecticut ($3 over face or 3x face, whichever is greater), Michigan (reasonable service charge above face), North Carolina ($3 over face or 3x face, whichever is greater). All other states have no statutory cap.
3. What you can sell.
Tickets you own, that haven't been used, and that you have the right to resell under the original ticket's terms.
4. What you can't sell.
Tickets you don't own (speculative listings), bot-purchased tickets in violation of the BOTS Act, tickets for events on our internal blocklist, or duplicate listings of the same ticket across multiple platforms.
5. Pricing.
Sellers set their own price within state caps. We display a 'fair price' label based on recent comparable sales. We never set or modify your asking price.
6. Fees.
We charge sellers a 10 percent fee on the sale price. Buyers pay zero additional fees. The fee is deducted from your payout.
7. Payout timing.
Funds are released 24 hours after the buyer's verified entry at the event. If scan data is unavailable, funds release 24 hours after the event's scheduled end time. Payouts to your linked bank account take 1-3 business days.
8. Cancellations and disputes.
You can unlist any ticket before a sale completes. Once a sale completes, cancellations require buyer consent. Disputes are handled per our Buyer Protection Guarantee.
9. Suspension and bans.
Sellers who deliver invalid tickets, miss delivery windows, or commit fraud are suspended pending review and permanently banned for repeat or severe violations.
10. Changes.
We may update this policy as state laws change or as we add features. Material changes are announced via email.
